Toyota Camry Hybrid or Honda Accord Hybrid?

The Honda Accord Hybrid is equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and a two-motor hybrid system producing a combined 204 horsepower. The most fuel-efficient Accord Hybrid version is officially rated at 51 mpg in the city, 44 mpg on the highway and 48 mpg combined, which is approximately 4.9 L/100 km. The Accord Hybrid is available only with front-wheel drive.

In terms of power and the availability of all-wheel drive, the Toyota Camry Hybrid has the advantage. Based on the highest official combined fuel economy rating, it is also slightly more efficient.

The Honda Accord Hybrid may be more appealing to drivers who prefer a spacious cabin, a large display and the operating characteristics of Honda’s two-motor hybrid system. The 2026 Accord Hybrid models feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen, while selected trim levels also include Google built-in.

Both models have received strong safety ratings. The 2026 Toyota Camry earned the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating, while the 2026 Honda Accord received the Top Safety Pick rating.

Which one should you choose?

The Toyota Camry Hybrid is the more practical choice if higher power, maximum fuel efficiency and the availability of all-wheel drive are important to you.

The Honda Accord Hybrid is worth considering if your priorities include a spacious and modern cabin, a large multimedia display and comfortable everyday driving.
