Electric vehicle quota

By a decision of the Eurasian Economic Council, Armenia has received an additional quota of 5,000 electric vehicles for 2026, allowing them to be imported at a 0% customs duty rate. This was announced by RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan.

He noted that information regarding the procedure for distributing the additional quota of 5,000 vehicles, as well as other details, will be published in the near future. The minister also stated that approximately 1,900 vehicles remained in the quota allocated to dealers and individuals. “And now another 5,000 vehicles are being added to that number, bringing Armenia’s total quota for electric vehicles this year to 20,000,” Papoyan said.
